My Story
My name is Sushmit Jahan. I am a lecturer at Varendra University, where I completed my B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering. With funding from the Center for Interdisciplinary Research, I have established multiple research groups at my university. My research group aims to reassess treatment models for mental health disorders using machine learning and deep learning approaches. I worked at Captain Earth LTD, collaborating with a four-person team to develop an AI-based depression detection app using human emotions.
My software skills include cryptography, signal processing, image processing, and robotics. I am currently researching brain signal processing to assist patients with mental health disabilities. In addition to these skills, I have trained as a youth leader at the Aspire Institute and USAID. I also founded an environmental rescue organization to raise awareness about climate change.
